Tiffany Knupp, Represented by Maronick Law, Will Not Undergo a Trial and Was Not Found Guilty

Tiffany Knupp, who was charged in June 2024 with embezzling funds from the organization she founded after her son was killed in a hit-and-run, will not undergo a trial and was not found guilty.

Thomas J. Maronick Jr., who represented Knupp, explained that she entered an “Alford plea,” meaning she acknowledged there was enough evidence to convict her without admitting guilt in the case. Knupp will serve a year of unsupervised probation, pay $6,500 restitution, and resign from the foundation.

As quoted by WBOC-TV (CBS), Maronick said, “It was not an easy result to obtain, but it accomplished our goals and we're very, very happy to have Tiffany Knupp not convicted of anything today."

Maronick explained that negotiations with prosecutors took several days (CoastTV (NBC)) and that Knupp had already complied with most of the conditions outlined by the judge.
